One of our portfolio of Cotswold tours, the ‘Downton plus’ showcases the Southern Cotswolds. It includes a visit to a major ‘Downton’ location, Bampton, passing through Kelmscott, the Thames-side home of Arts and Crafts pioneer, William Morris. Our tour continues via the historically important inland port of Lechlade to pretty Fairford, with its magnificent church, and then to Roman Cirencester. Afterwards we take in Bibury, ‘the most beautiful village in England’ (according to William Morris), before concluding our trip by discovering the ancient market towns of Northleach and the ever-popular Burford - Gateway to the Cotswolds… wonderful!
